The preserved Chicago Great Western RR depot. Elmhurst Illinois USA. Febuary 6th 2007.

This old midwest small town train depot, is on display in a city park in suburban Elmhurst Illinois USA. This is the old passenger depot from the former Chicago Great Western Railroad, wich was bought out through a merger in 1968 with the Chicago & NorthWestern Railroad. This depot is located on York Street, immediately adjacent to the Illinois Prairie Path bicycle trail just north of Valette Street. The Illinois Prairie path, is the former Chicago,Aurora & Elgin electric interurban Railroad right of way. The CGW ran adjacent to the C,A& E, and was abandoned shortly after the C&NW 1968 merger.
