I took this photo after work one day, in early June of 2007. A Canadian National freight train with former Illinois Central diesels on the head end, has recieved clearance to leave Crawford Yard, and is seen approaching the Belt Railway of Chicago crosstracks at Hawthorne Junction.Hawthorne Junction is located at the Chicago City Limits with immediate West suburban Cicero Illinois. This is the former Illinois Central's Iowa Division Mainline through here.
