I took this photo after work one evening in June of 2007. An architectural beauty from decades past, and still serving commuters well today...is this lovely brick train station in downtown Hindsdale Illinois. The Hindsdale station is a surviving example of early 1900's era architecture and styling. Although the former Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad station no longer serves the Burlington's many passenger locals, Mail trains and /or streamlined zephyrs, You can still board commuter passenger trains here from Chicago's Metra commuter rail agency.Tuesday, March 04, 2008
