What to do if the wheelchair lift suffers a mechanical failure.

Wess our instructor, is seen demonstrating how to manually lower the wheelchair lift, in case of a mechanical failure.

The lift works much like a hydraulic jack, and is gradually lowered by turning a screw valve with a metal rod in hand.
The lift has to be manually pumped up one stroke at a time in order to be lifted into the raised or even folded position.

For obvious reasons, we can only "Lower" a wheelchair or disabled rider on the lift in this situation.
