Wintertime in north suburban Deerfield Illinois. Thursday, February 11th 2010.

Wintertime in Deerfield Illinois. Thursday, February 11th 2010.

Hi everyone!

welcome aboard Eddie's Railfan Page from the city of Chicago Illinois.

The 2010 Winter season has been a tough one for everyone from local Chicagoans, to people residing in other regions of the nation. Heavy lake effect snowstorms have especially been prevalent here in the greater Chicagoland area in 2010.

However, those occasional moments of "Winter Beauty" with snowy landscapes and brilliant sunshine do show up and catch us delightfully off gaurd sometimes when We least expect it.

I took this photo during My morning lunch break on a delightfully sunny but cold Thursday, February 11th 2010. After several days of overcast skies and two back to back lake effect snowstorms...The sun finally came out to brighten things up.

This photo was taken looking east along the west side of Illinois U.S Route # 43 / Waukegan Road in far north suburban Deerfield Illinois. Looking much like a Christmas / Holiday Greeting Card image, this photo opportunity was too good to pass up. It may have been cold outside, but it was a lovely day nonetheless.

Luckilly Spring will soon be on it's way here. I can't wait!

Thanks.
Eddie K.
