Being born and raised on the southwest side of Chicago mayself many years ago, a Chicago railroad that I had always enjoyed...was the former Atchinson, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad.

I have been a lifelong fan of the Santa Fe, and always enjoyed thir various types of equipment, markings and color schemes.

In the year of 1995, the Burlington Northern Railroad and My Santa Fe had merged, and became todays BNSF Railway. Although I lament losing the Santa Fe that I once knew, occasionally and old piece or two of old Santa Fe equipment from pre 1995 times will pass through town, coupled on to any given freight train.
