I took this photo earlier this year, back in the month of March.
Seen here in a local city park at north suburban Morton Grove Illinois, is this United States military cannon from World War 1.
This cannon not only survived the wartime ravages of combat, but also the not so friendly Chicago weather conditions.
The Morton Grove Park District has done a fine job of maintaining this piece of Historic early 1900's era American Military armamament.
