I recently discovered a very pleasant surprise recently at work while enroute to a passenger drop off in Wilmette Illinois.
Seen here on Wilmette Avenue just east of Central Avenue in north suburban Wilmette Illinois, is the preserved downtown Wilmette station, from the long gone Chicago, North Shore and Milwaukee Railroad. This depot, was one of several stops in Wilmette Illinois on the North Shore Line's own Shore Line Route. The Shore Line Route, was abandoned on July 24th, 1955.
The station today, is the Depot Nuevo Latin Restaurant.
