I took this photo way back in October of 1983.
EMD roadswitcher locomotives from the Grand Trunk Western, and the former Detroit, Toledo & Ironton Railroad, are viewed idling on the ready tracks at the soon to be closed GTW Elsdon Yard in Chicago.
The yard and engine terminal seen here, were photographed by Me during the final week of operation in October of 1983.
