Interior of preserved Illinois Terminal lightweight center entrance interurban car # 101 built by the American Car Company in 1917.. The Illinois Railway Museum. Union Illinois. Friday, July 3rd, 2009.

I took this photo during a July 2009 visit to The Illinois Railway Museum, located in the town of Union Illinois USA. www.irm.org

While many of the museum's visiting patrons are satisfied taking exterior photos of the preserved vintage rail equipment, I enjoy taking interior photos as well.

This photo was taken inside Illinois Terminal Railroad lightweight center entrance interurban car # 101. This photo gives todays Young railfans, an idea of what the passengers would see on their Illinois Terminal interurban train rides in southern and southwestern Illinois many years ago.
