The Oak Park Society of Model Engineers, H.O Scale Model Railroad Club. Oak Park Illinois USA. August 2011.

I took this photo back in August, at The Oak Park Society of Model Engineers, H.O Scale Model Railroad Club.

One Chicago railroad I fondly remember from My own youth, was the former Illinois Central Gulf.

This 50 foot plug door box car, wears the much simplified "Plain" solid orange with ICG lettering from 1980. This paint scheme was done by the ICG, as a cost cutting measure, replacing a large eleaborate ICG Split rail circular logo.
