Watering the tender of a coal burning German meter guage steam locomotive. The Hesston Steam Museum. Hesston Indiana. October 1998.

I took this photograph during an October 1998 visit to the Hesston Steam Museum, located in the northwest Indiana town of Hesston Indiana. www.hesston.org

Lester the operator of the museum's German meter guage 0-8-0 coal burning steam locomotive on this day, is viewed filling the tender with water before the start of the next run.

The Hesston Steam Museum is a fun and very family friendly oriented attraction near the Indiana / Michigan state line a few miles south of New Buffalo Michigan.
