Icycles on the exterior of a local school bus from Chicago's extreme winter cold conditions. Elk Grove Village Illinois. Monday, February 10th, 2014.

I took this photograph at work Monday morning this week.

We are heading northbound on Arlington Heights Road at the intersection of Illinois Rt # 72 / Higgins in the town of Elk Grove Village Illinois.

Chicago's winter of 2014 has been brutally cold with several days of single digit temperature readings, below zero Farenheight night time temperatures, and several repeat heavy lake eefect snowstorms.

The First Student International school bus to the left of me in the westbound turning lane, shows the effects of outdoor storage yard conditions, with heavy frost on the windows, and icycles just below the roof line.

The dusty road salt stains along the lower bus body, gives one an idea of just how rough it has been so far this winter.

Thanks.
Eddie K.
