One local place in the greater Chicagoland area that is very dear to my heart, is a place in west suburban North Riverside Illinois known as Commons Park.
I first came here during the early 1970's with my family, when this place was originally a privately owned practice golf driving range.
Around 1983, this place was sold along with the neighboring Melody Mill Ballroom, and was redeveloped in to the large and spacious family friendly city park shown here.
A recent additon to Commons Park about a year ago or so, is the asphalt walking, exercise path shown here, which was originally a concrete sidewalk.
With the new asphalt path in place, I just may be making an outing here to practice a little inline roller blade skating outdoors this coming springtime. Hopefully soon.
